The Duomo and its Floor

Are you in Siena and you want to visit the Cathedral with its magnificent Floor made of 56 inlaid and mosaic marble squares?

From June 27th through July 31st and from August 18th through October 18th the floor in the Cathedral is completely uncovered.

Don’t miss it , it is a great event!

You can book a Private Guided Tour of the Duomo with me. It’s a spectacular tour, you will see like a marble carpet whose colors are white, black, grey, yellow, red and you will be walking on it.

You can ask me to translate from Latin into English Sybil’s prophecies, explain allegories, tell Old and New Testament stories. And there you will be amazed to see the Chapel by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the Pulpit by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano, a Saint John the Baptist statue by Donatello, the Piccolomini Library with its beautiful frescoes and Raphael and Pinturicchio’s portraits as well as the altar with statues by Michelangelo.

The visit with me costs 100,00 euro (it is a private tour and the price is forfait not per person only for individuals and small private groups). The visit in the Duomo lasts about an hour and 30 minutes.
